Dr. Tetsuo Otani, Vice-president of the Komazawa University, arrived on May 31, 1999, to make a good-will visit to Tamkang University. Coming along with Dr. Otani was Dr. Tamotsu Tanaka, Director of International Center, Dr. Atsutoshi Matsumoto, Professor of Foreign Language College, and Mr. Masanori Kawanami, Manager of International Center. Accompanied by Deans of eight colleges, History, Japanese and Practical Japanese Department, four guests attended a briefing presided over by Dr. Chao-kang Feng, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chairman of International Exchange Committee; and also engaged in a discussion with TKU faculty. Then they toured Tamkang University Tamsui campus, including the Reitaku International Dormitory, the Information Processing Center, and Chueh-sheng Memorial Library, At evening, they attended the dinner party hosted by Dr. Chao-kang Feng.
