Prof. Ian Smith, Deputy-Vice Chancellor and Alistair Fox, Vice-Chancellor from University of Otago, New Zealand, made their goodwill visits to Tamkang University on September 14, 1999. Accompanied by Dr. Chao-kang Feng, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chairman of International Exchange Committee, and Dr. Lily H.M. Chen, Director of International exchange and International Education, two guests visited Dr. Horng-jinh Chang, President of Tamkang University. Later on they attended a briefing presided over by Vice President Dr. Chao-kang Feng, and also engaged in a discussion with TKU faculty. After the discussion, they had a campus tour in Tamsui campus, including the Chueh-sheng Memorial Library, and the Maritime Museum.
