Prof. Adam Budnikowski, Rector, Warsaw School of Economics, made a goodwill visit to Tamkang University (TKU) on November 29, 2006. Established in 1906 as the Private Advanced Commercial Courses for Men, the present-day SGH is the oldest university of economics and management in Poland, and one of the leading universities in Central and Eastern Europe. At present, over 2,000 graduates leave SGH every year. They create and transform Poland!|s economic reality in many sectors and determine the status of our country. Today, Warsaw School of Economics offers course leading to Bachelor!|s or Master!|s degrees to both full-time and extra-mural students. It also offers doctoral and postgraduate programmes. The main purpose of Prof. Adam Budnikowski!|s visit was to discuss the possibility of academic cooperation between SGH and Tamkang University. The guest first attended a panel discussion hosted by President Flora C.I. Chang. After the discussion, the guest visited Chueh-sheng Memorial Library and other facilities in the campus.
