"Prof. Francisco Jose Martinez Lopez, President, Universidad de Huelva, Spain, made a goodwill visit to Tamkang University (TKU) on December 3, 2008. The University of Huelva has continued to grow since it gained its independence from Seville University in 1993. The university is spread over four sites and has nine faculties. It is a young dynamic institution and striving for excellence and a brilliant future for its 12,000 students continually. The main purpose of President Martinez is to seek the possibility of academic cooperation between our two universities. When President Martinez arrived at our campus, he first met with Dr. Flora C.I. Chang, President, Tamkang University, and then attended the presentation and discussion hosted by Kuan Wu, Chair of the Department of Spanish, at T306, then he also visited Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center and Chueh-sheng Memorial Library in the campus. "
