Prof. Kazunari ASONUMA, Director of Secretariat, Titsumeikan Asia Pacific University （APU）, led a delegation of 7 members of “Japan Association of University Administrative Management” （JUAM） made a goodwill visit to Tamkang University(TKU) on December 27, 2007. This delegation is planning to visit several universities in Taiwan except TKU during the one week tour. JUAM is a nationwide research organization for university administrators in Japan that aims to nurture professional university administrators through practical and logical research in order to contribute to the modernization and improvement of the management system of higher education. It has approximately 1,100 members from 260 universities throughout Japan. The main purpose of this study tour is to meet with the administrative staff and discussing and exchanging information so that mutual understanding on university innovation and reforms can be promoted. After attending the presentation and discussion meeting presided over by Dr. Po-Yuan Kao, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the guests visited Chueh-sheng Memorial Library. In the evening, they had a dinner party which is hosted by Vice President Kao at the Sea View Restaurant.
