Dr. Ihron Rensburg, Vice-Chancellor, University of Johannesburg, made a goodwill visit to Tamkang University (TKU) on November 2, 2007. The University of Johannesburg was founded on the proud academic traditions of the former Rand Afrikaans University, Technikon Witwatersrand and two campuses of Vista University. The UJ has approximately 46 000 students, who attend classes on its five campuses, spread over the industrial landscape of Johannesburg. The guests first visit President, Dr. Flora C.I. Chang, at the Office of the President. Then, the guests attended the reception and a discussion hosted by Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Wan-chin Tai. After the discussion, they visited Carrie Chang Fine Arts Center. After the visit, Dr. Ihron Rensburg gave a speech at L310, hosted by Dean of the College of Education, Hsun-Fung Kitty Kao.
