Dr. Kenneth Gorman, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of International Studies, Winona State University, made a goodwill visit to Tamkang University (TKU) on April 14, 2008. Winona State University signed the academic cooperation agreement with Tamkang University on November 8th, 1996. The Department of English, Tamkang University has started to send “Junior Study Abroad” students to WSU since the academic year of 2000-01. The Department of International Trade, and Lanyang Campus also started to send “Junior Study Abroad” students since academic year of 05-06 and 07-08. WSU now hosts 29 TKU students for the academic year of 2007-08. In addition, the two universities has started exchange program from the academic year of 2007-08. Dr. Kenneth Gorman has visited TKU for the celebration of TKU’s 55th Anniversary. During his visit this time, Dr. Gorman discussed the issues regarding Dual Degree Program cooperation details with the Department of English, and Junior Study Abroad Program for English Department, International Trade Department, and Lanyang Campus. The guests first had a meeting with President Chang, and then attended the presentation and discussion hosted by Vice President for International Affairs, Dr.Wan-chin Tai. At noon, the guest attended the luncheon hosted by Vice President Tai. Dr. Kenneth Gorman visited Lang Campus on April 15 and had a discussion with the faculty and students in that campus.
